Regional training awards recognition for Princess Alexandra Hospital's trauma and orthopaedics department
The trauma and orthopaedics department of the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) has been recognised for its training excellence.
The team was awarded second place in the East of England Trauma and Orthopaedic Training Programme's Trainee Led Training Hospital of the Year Awards for the third year running.
Satish Kutty, consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon, was named Regional Trainer of the Year. This follows the award to him of the Austrian-Swiss-German (ASG) Fellowship for 2020, an honour from the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), which selects one surgeon every two years.

PAH: Hospital trauma and orthopaedics department recognised for training excellence
THE trauma and orthopaedics department at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust has been recognised for its training excellence by the East of England Trauma and Orthopaedic Training Programme, Health Education England.
There have been a range of recent plaudits for the team, following a longstanding tradition of outstanding achievement.
The department was awarded second place in the East of England Trauma and Orthopaedic Training Programme’s Trainee Led Training Hospital of the Year Awards for the third year running.
Additionally, Mr Satish Kutty, consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon, received the Regional Trainer of the Year accolade.
